What is Gaitabase?

GAITABASE is a web-based tool to allow the sharing and analysis of Gait Analysis data.

The GAITABASE stores both kinematic and kinetic data (as captured by most current gait analysis systems) or temporal-spatial data (as captured from a GAITRite® mat for example). It also stores basic information about the subjects and the conditions under which the data was captured.

Registered users can upload data to the GAITABASE over the internet. They can then select specific groups of subjects and specific conditions of data capture and display the corresponding gait data from the entire database.

Potential uses include:

  • Secure and systematic storage of your own data with powerful tools for data analysis.
  • Comparison of your data with other people’s data from across the world.
  • Pooling data between specific centres to support collaborative research.
